Exploring Sicily

We’ve all heard the saying ‘when life gives you lemons, make lemonade’ and this holiday that saying came to mind numerous times. When something that you’ve been looking forward to for months, something that you feel like you’ve earned and deserve, doesn’t quite go to plan it can be disheartening, but being able to make the most of the situation and find the silver lining is a skill you have to adopt. And it’s a skill my family and I had to adopt.

With that being said, during our transfers from a villa, to a hotel, to a new villa, silver linings were found. 

Sicily is a gorgeous, rustic, wholly Italian island with stunning views (whether that be beaches or mountains), incredible food (a tonne of swordfish, pasta and pizza), and super friendly people. I don’t think a day went by that Ollie didn’t have a calzone and a huge ice cream.
