Top Tips For A Girls Holiday
Top Tips For A Girls Holiday
After recently returning from a girls holiday to Zante (a holiday that comprised of a lot of sun, alcohol and partying), I have acquired a few tips regarding what to do, or more importantly, what not to do.
1. Plan outfits for both day time and night time, an be realistic about this.
As soon as I began unpacking I realised that I had seriously over packed. I always like to have options but I had taken enough clothes for a 2 week holiday!
2. Take essentials
Between the 5 of us, we had enough plasters, antiseptic creams and medicine to supply the whole of Zante, but when you’re all getting blisters, colds and sore throats, you’re very glad of the make-shift medical kits.
3. Don’t plan everything - be spontaneous!
We hadn’t planned anything specific for any specific days. We had brought a party package which included parties both during the day and at night (another great idea), but other than that we just had an idea of what we wanted to do and a prime goal of relaxing after a stressful few months. Holidays that aren’t planned down to the minute always turn out the best, remember to just say yes to things!
4. Hydration is key!
Ignore whatever price water is being sold at and buy as many bottles as you think you can drink in the day. The combination of sun and alcohol along with talking constantly and singing at the top of your lungs makes for a very dehydrated body. Also, making sure that there is always a bottle in the fridge for when you get in after a night out is essential!
5. Don’t go too hard on the first few nights.
If your girls Holiday happens to be a party holiday, remember that unless you have the stamina, your body isn’t going to be too happy about 7 consecutive nights out. Take a night off or two as this proved useful for some of us and allowed us to recharge our energy and still make the most of the holiday.
6. Remember to live in the moment
On a more poinient note, remember that you’re only young once and that these holidays usually come during a summer when they are well deserved, such as after 2 months of A-levels. Take all the photos you want but remember to enjoy each moment and absorb the memories.
Love Always, Annabelle
