10 Tips To Improve Your Life
1) GET UP EARLIER
Set
your alarm for 8 then 7 and then 6 so that you gradually get used to waking up
early. This allows you to begin your day and get a head start on everything you
need to do. I prefer to wake up earlier and be productive so that when the
evening comes and it gets dark I am able to cosy up with a book or a movie and
just chill.
2) GO TO SLEEP EARLIER
Cut the time you normally go to sleep by half and
hour, then one hour and then 2 hours until you’re sleeping between 9 and 10pm.
This ensures that you get enough sleep for your body to function. It also sets
you up for the morning.
3) COOK
Making
yourself homemade food for breakfast lunch and dinner is so much better that
going out and buying fast food and takeaways. Firstly it’s most likely to save
you money, secondly it’s so much better for your health as you can control
things like salt and sugar content and also it makes you feel proactive. You
are also more likely to enjoy the food as you’ve put the effort in yourself to
make it. It’s also a super fun activity to do with family , friends or a
partner.
4) DRINK WATER
This
tip is key! Water has so many benefits it’s basically magic! Aim to drink at
least 3 pints of water per day; one at breakfast, lunch and dinner, then
increase it from there and watch your skin get clearer and glow, your hair will
grow and you will generally feel 100 times better. So get drinking!
5) JOURNAL
Journaling
is the best way to relax and unwind at the end of a day or to set yourself up
for the day. It allows you to get all of your thoughts on the page and release
yourself from thoughts that trap you. It’s a great way to figure out what you
need to do or what is upsetting you and ways to deal with that. Try to keep a
list of 3 things you’re grateful for at the end of each day to help you see the
positivity in your life and reflect on what you have!
6) ORGANISE
I
am the most unorganised organised person you will ever meet but who doesn’t
love to colour code, sort into boxes and label their things? Staying organised
and keeping on top of everything is one of the best ways to keep your mind
clear and your life uncluttered. If everything is organised then you will know
where everything is and everything that you have to do. To do lists also help
being organised!
7) GO FOR A WALK
Walking,
whether alone, with a friend or with your dog, is an amazing way to clear your
head and get a new perspective on whatever is on your mind. It also has many health
benefits. Every morning or evening now and then take some time to go for a walk
around the park or just roads near where you live. It doesn’t have to be long,
just enough to get a breathe of fresh air.
8) REMINISCE
Reminisce
on good time or a specific day, holiday or event that made you particularly
happy. Look back at old photos and videos. This is a great thing to do when
your down and having a bad day as it will make you smile and boost your spirits.
9) READ
I love reading. I always have and always will.
It’s the best way to escape reality for a while and live in someone else’s
world. It’s a great way to shut off and not think about anything. There’s a
book about anything and everything so it is easy to find something you like and
a genre you enjoy. Challenge yourself to read a chapter a night.
10) DREAM AND DO IT
Don’t let anything stop you. If you have a
dream, and idea or a goal go and accomplish it! Refuse to let anyone who stands
in your way. Be who you aspire to be and ignore whoever criticises that. Be
proud of who you are and whatever you do, make it worthwhile.
