My Top 5 Lipsticks
My Top 5 Lipsticks
Lipsticks aren't usually something that I rave about as I prefer to go for nudes 90% of the time, however, if I am going to like one I will end up wearing it to death. These are my top 5 lipsticks that I would recommend...
Number 1.
Rimmel London Kate Moss - #107.
This lipstick is the perfect deep, berry toned red for autumn/winter time. I feel as though this lipstick is gorgeous for every-day use but also adds the finishing touch to any evening outfit. The colour, I believe, would compliment any skin tone and suits everyone. Deep reds are the absolute best for November to December time and get you into the Christmassy mood!
However, I would definitely recommend using a lip liner when applying this in order to get a perfect lip.
Number 2.
Ted Baker - Beautiful Mood
This lipstick is so so creamy, it literally moisturises your lips whilst adding a stunning light nude colour. I prefer to wear this one more in the summer time as its quite light and delicate, however, it would go with any outfit or season. The texture is beautiful as well as the colour. I have used this lipstick so many times recently and can't get enough of it! I highly recommend this lipstick if you're looking for a subtle yet gorgeous lipstick.
Number 3.
Mac - Going Dutch
This lipstick is more higher end but Is totally worth it! Although it is more pink than nude, it goes with everything! This colour is so appropriate for any occasion and any season. It's one of the lipsticks in the frost collection and applies so smoothly to your lips. Obviously, Mac lipsticks will be high quality but this one truly hits the mark, both me and my mom adore it and find it a great go to lipstick when you're unsure of which to use.
Number 4.
Kiko - #917
If I am looking for a simple, easy, go-to nude, this is the one I almost always reach for. It is a simple pinky-nude with a slightly darker purple undertone without being too obvious. I would say that this colour would suit most skin tones as it works with your lips natural colour. The shimmery finish adds a fresh look to your lips, whilst the moisturising aspect prevents your lips from feeling dry of flaky. As far as lipsticks go I love this one and for the price it is almost a necessity.
Number 5.
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine
As my most recent addition to my lipstick collection, I am pretty excited about this YSL lipstick. Until recently I have never been able to afford my own high end lipsticks so the feeling of walking into Selfridges and purchasing this was amazing! The shade of red that this lipstick gives it so bright and powerful that it feels amazing to wear. Due to the amazing moisture in this lipstick, it can seem slightly translucent, but paired with a lip-liner it is stunning! I think this will always be my go-to when wanting a glossy red lip. Its perfect for any occasion and any season.
